Usage and billing

You are billed by output minutes: the minutes of video and audio a job produces, by category.

Category What counts
sd Each quality whose short side is under 720 pixels (240p, 360p, 480p, 540p…).
hd 720 to 1080 pixels (720p, 1080p).
uhd Over 1080 pixels (1440p, 2160p).
audio Each audio deliverable: every language of the streaming, and the MP3.

The short side is what counts, so a vertical 720×1280 video is HD, like a horizontal 1280×720 one.

A minute is counted once per quality, even when that quality feeds both the streaming and an MP4. A clip counts only its own duration. Only jobs that succeed are billed: a failed or canceled job costs nothing.

For example, a 10-minute video delivered as streaming in 1080p, 720p and 480p, plus a 720p MP4, with Spanish and English audio: 10 HD (1080p) + 10 HD (720p, shared with the MP4) + 10 SD (480p) + 20 audio (two languages).

GET /v1/usage?from=2026-09-01&to=2026-10-01

Minutes per category, in total and per UTC day; this month so far by default. A finished job shows its own in billed_minutes.

GET /v1/organization

plan has your limits:

  • monthly_minutes: minutes of video your jobs may process per calendar month (UTC), counted on the source (or the clip), whatever the outputs; null for unlimited. When they are used up, new jobs answer 402 quota_exceeded.
  • max_upload_bytes: the largest source file.
  • max_concurrent_jobs: how many jobs run at once; the rest wait in queued and start in order as others finish.

Each finished job is charged to your balance at your plan’s prices: first the credit your plan includes each month (it expires when the month ends), then your prepaid credit (it never expires). With nothing left, new jobs answer 402 insufficient_balance; jobs already running finish. The dashboard shows your balance and every charge under Usage.

usage shows processed_minutes_this_month, what counts against monthly_minutes, and average_speed_this_month: how many times faster than real time this month’s jobs were processed.
